Nurlan Bazhirov

  • Nurlan Bazhirov is a graphic artist born on 22nd February 1964 in Karaganda. His education at the N.V. Gogol Art School in Almaty, which he completed in 1984, was pivotal in shaping his artistic identity. He became skilled at blending graphic art with animal-inspired themes.

    In 2011, Bazhirov earned notable recognition, becoming the illustrator for the anthology' Kazakh Heroic Epos’. Also, he actively participates in national and international exhibitions, showcasing his works in various countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, the UAE, and South Korea. His artworks uniquely enrich cultural heritage and visual experience, exemplifying a wonderful fusion of diverse artistic traditions.

    A central theme in Bazhirov's work is horses. His profound understanding of the anatomy and temperament of this magnificent animal allows him to skilfully depict horses from various perspectives.
