His artistic inspiration stems from the vast Kazakh steppes, deeply influenced by his shepherd father and the rich exposure to folk traditions instilled by his artisan mother. Akanayev's artistic journey commenced at the N.V. Gogol Art School, where he honed his skills and crafted a distinctive style. He seamlessly blended national themes with his artistic expression. After his military service, he embarked on a career as an artist-editor for respected publishers such as 'ZHALYN,' 'Jazushi,' 'Jeti,' 'ONER,' 'MEKTEP,' and 'PROSVESHCHENETS KAZAKHSTAN,' firmly establishing himself within the artistic community.
